Polyurethane side bars come in various sizes, the most common size of side bar supplied by SCS is a 50mm wide and 60mm high bar, the length is varied to suit the screen length but normally a maximum of 1250mm long. There are twenty different width and height combinations of side bar that SCS supplies as standard and other can be made on request.
Side bars typically constructed from a steel plate or steel hollow section for strength and then polyurethane is moulded around all sides with attention paid to the thickness on the wear faces of bar.
Other more specialised side bars are available most commonly for the 85 system which have profiles moulded to them or are knocked into the 85 system girder are also available.

Polyurethane Wedges and metal cleats are used in conjunction with polyurethane or polyethylene side bars to clamp down screen media at each side of the screen.
These knockin bars fit into the 85 System girder and allow the fitment of 85 System polyurethane modules. The filler strips are for use at the side of the screen to fit the standardised modules to any size screen.
The 85 System girder is the basis of the 85 system and is welded or bolted down the length of the screen, usually at 300mm centres, to facilitate the fitting of 85 System screen media. This girder comes in 40mm high or 80mm high variants.
Dam bars are used to hold up material on the screen to prevent material carrying over and diverters are used to divert material while on the screen, for example, to more evenly spread the material in case of an uneven feed, or to avoid tracking of material if the screen has long blank areas.
