Steel Backed Liners

There are many advantages to steel backed liners over more conventional sheet material linings. As the steel plate gives the liners rigidity it allows the lining to be made in smaller sections, which is advantageous regarding manual handling and the ability to change specific wear areas. Steel backed liners can be installed without specialist labour and when using a standard tile lining, spares are easy to stock and affect repairs as and when required.

Steel Backed Rubber Liners – Genuine steel backed rubber liners are constructed from a rubber that has been hot vulcanised to a steel plate.  The rubber on these liners is a 60 shore hardness cut and wear resistant rubber. The liners come in two forms 300mm and 330mm square tiles, or bespoke liners that can be cut drilled to suit specific sizes from our stock 2m x 1m sheets. The sheeting comes in thicknesses of 15+3, 25+5 and 45+5mm thicknesses, the tiles are only supplied in the latter two thicknesses (The rubber thickness is the first number and steel thickness the second).

Thicker steel backed rubber liners can be made to special order, depending on quantity and lead time requirements.

Bonded Steel Backed Liners – These are liners that are made up of a piece of rubber bonded to a piece of steel using a cold bonding method. These are used when specific thicknesses of rubber or steel are required, or the size of the liners cannot be made from our steel backed rubber sheeting stock.

Steel Backed Polyurethane Liners – These are manufactured bespoke to each order so can be made to suit the customers specific requirements whether this be for square tiles or large sheets.
