Low Friction Linings

Low friction linings are used to improve flow within chutes, hoppers, feeders, etc or can also be used to reduce the unwanted build-up of material on surfaces e.g. screen side plate liners, side bars for modular systems, etc.

SCS supplies and installs polyethylene sheets to be used as low friction linings. It can be supplied in various grades, but the most used grades are Virgin (White) or Regen (Green or Black). Thicknesses supplied vary from 6mm to 50mm thick, fixing solutions can be supplied as appropriate to the thickness and constraints of the installation.

One of the keys points for a successful low friction lining is to ensure that the installation is carried out correctly or the lining will not perform correctly and can cause more issues than it resolves, so it is highly recommended that this type of lining is installed by SCS’s skilled fitters.
