Extraflex rubber screen cloths are a specialised type of screen media used predominantly to combat the issue of blinding or pegging, in applications such as dust screening. Each cloth is individually designed to suit the machine and application including features such as side or end tensioned.
An Extraflex screen cloth is made up of two layers, with the top layer normally made from a 40 shore hardness rubber between 3mm and 6mm thick, with the desired apertures punched in it, it has no cord reinforcing therefore is incredibly flexible.
SCS now also offers a Polyflex mat which is similar in construction to an Extraflex mat but with the top layer being made of a polyurethane in 2 to 5mm thick. Although reducing the flexibility of the top layer the polyurethane has a high wear resistant properties and improved inherent strength.
