Wear & Low Friction Linings

SCS offer a complete range of wear resistant lining materials, to combat wear, promote flow or reduce noise.
Lining materials that can be offered from SCS include rubber, polyurethane, polyethylene, high quality metals and ceramic composites.

Bonded Rubber – Can be supplied in red 40 or black 60 shore hardness in a variety of thicknesses to suit each application. Each roll has a pre-prepared bonding layer for use with SCS bonding kits and metal primers.
Bolted Rubber – Can be supplied in 60 shore hardness in 10, 15, 20, 25 and 50mm thick. Bolting solutions can be supplied as appropriate at extra cost.
Rubber Covered Steel Backed Liners – Can be supplied in sizes to suit each application and are constructed from wear resistant rubber bonded to 5mm mild steel backed plate. The linings can be supplied in a variety of thicknesses from 25mm to 100mm and can be supplied, drilled and cored to allow them to be bolted into position.

Wear Tiles – Constructed from black 60 shore hardness wear and abrasion resistant rubber, hot vulcanized onto a 5mm mild steel plate. Each tile is available as a full tile (330mm square) or half tile (330mm x 165mm) with an overall thickness of 25mm or 50mm. Each tile has moulded fixing holes to enable the tiles to be bolted into position or held in by the SCS pin and Wedge system.
Bolted Polyethylene – Can be supplied in Virgin (White) or Regen (Green/Black) quality and in thicknesses of 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 or 25mm thick. Bolting solutions can be supplied as appropriate at extra cost. Additionally other grades of polyethylene are available.
Bolted Ceramic Elements – Ceramics moulded into rubber can be made to order.
Typical chute lining applications include rock chutes, transfer points, screen frames, screen under pans, lip plates, flumes, etc.
All linings can be installed at extra cost.
